International Finance Centre
Seoul, Korea

This mixed-use project is located in the Yeouido district, where the city of Seoul has built an international financial district. Tower 3 opened in Fall 2011, and the remaining 2 office towers and retail mall will have a grand opening to the public on August 31, 2012. The Seoul Conrad Hotel will subsequently open in November 2012. While at Arquitectonica, I served as Project Director for this new mixed-use development in Seoul's burgeoning financial district.

The project is comprised of nearly 6 million square feet (550,000 sm) distributed in 3 office towers ranging in height from 29 to 54 stories, and a 600-room 5-star hotel to be operated by Conrad Hotels. The towers flank a central drop-off court and face Yeouido Park, where two glass pavilions anchor each end of the plaza and enter into a 3-level underground retail and entertainment mall, with access to the Yeouido subway station and 4 levels of service and loading docks with underground parking for 2000 cars.
