This home, in the planning stages, will be located in the East Bay hills looking out on San Francisco Bay. It may be evident I had my Bernard Maybeck books out, as the design vocabulary relates back to the gracious forms of the great Berkeley architect, an inspiration dating back to my school days. The project will hopefully prove to be a good exercise in building in an historic tradition, without resorting to unimaginative knock-offs.
